Carnegie: January 23rd, 2000 (one sloppy day) |
| As winter of 2000 progressed, we were wondering..... Where is all the rain? We're not asking for El Niņo over here, but some rain and mud would be nice to play around in. Well, our requests were answered in January where it rained nonstop for a few days at one point. | ![]() |

After we knew the ground had gotten nice and saturated, we headed out to our favorite mud hole: Carnegie SVRA. It was a perfect day for mudding; overcast and ready to just open up with downpours to increase the mud puddles. |
| Naturally, we all made the 4x4 obstacle course our 1st stop. Apparently we were the 1st group of trucks on the scene, but as the day went on and the weather deteriorated, more people showed up. |

Things were getting pretty messy, but it wasn't so bad since Carnegie gets baked all summer, and it never really gets all that soggy, unless you venture into the riverbed. |
| Dave's MSD box was acting up all day, and wouldn't you know, it leaves him stranded in the creek. We could've towed him out and worked on it, but I'll speak for everyone else when I say it would be more fun to see him try to work on it in the creek. |

With Dave out of the way, it was time for a little 2WD time. If you haven't invested in a rear locker, I'd reccomend it. This was pretty much a 2WD day for me. |
| After we got bored of the deep portion of the creek, we ventured further down the park. We found a huge and very slippery mud field. For the pictures, go on to the Next Page. |
